Buhari approves Ekwueme’s emergency treatment abroad
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the immediate medical treatment of former vice president, Dr Alex Ekwueme, outside the country.
The approval, according to a statement by Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, covers the immediate charter of an air ambulance for the emergency movement and the cost of treatment.
This came following a brief the President received yesterday on the medical condition of the former vice president in the Second Republic.
Buhari also prayed God to grant the elder statesman speedy recovery, the statement said.
