Buhari, Lawan, governors greet Tinubu at 69

President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he marks his 69th birthday anniversary, describing him as not only a patriot but also a statesman.

President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he marks his 69th birthday anniversary, describing him as not only a patriot but also a statesman.

Buhari, in a congratulatory message issued by his Media Adviser, Femi Adesina, yesterday, joined the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), and its teeming members in congratulating Tinubu on his 69th birthday today, March 29, 2021.

He affirmed that the former Lagos State governor had inspired many leaders and continued to nurture talents for the benefit of the country.

The President, therefore, rejoiced with family, friends, and political associates of the astute politician, praying that God will grant him longer life, good health, and more wisdom.

ALSO, Senate President Ahmad Lawan and his deputy, Ovie Omo-Agege, have congratulated Tinubu on his 69th birthday today.

While Lawan joined the family members, friends and political associates of the National Leader of the APC in rejoicing with him for marking the day in good health and high spirits, Omo-Agege applauded the former lawmaker for nurturing and strengthening democracy in many ways.

In a congratulatory message he personally signed, Omo-Agege stressed that the APC chieftain remained an inspiration to many.

IN the same vein, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated Tinubu on his 69th birthday, saying the APC National Leader is a political pathfinder, nationalist and detribalised Nigerian, who has contributed in no small measure to the socio-political and economic growth of Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.

Sanwo-Olu, in a statement, yesterday, by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, described Asiwaju Tinubu as a visionary leader and a rare mentor with exceptional abilities in various areas of human endeavours.

In his message, Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu described the former Lagos State governor as legendary, saying he is undoubtedly a famous person and many stories can be told about him.

This was contained in a statement issued to journalists in Akure, yesterday, by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Richard Olatunde.

MEANWHILE, the ruling APC has applauded Tinubu over his role in the promotion of good governance in the country.

The APC’s position was reinforced by members of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) who paid glowing tributes to Tinubu on his role in the electoral feats recorded by the party in the 2015 and 2019 polls.

PGF’s Chairman, Mr. Abubakar Bagudu, described Tinubu’s contribution to the defeat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015 as a historic development in the country.

The governors, while felicitating with Tinubu on his 69th birthday anniversary, pledged to look up to him for inspiration and guidance.

The APC National Chairman Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the APC, Mai Mala Buni, described Tinubu as a man of excellence and a true democrat who dedicated his life to the service of humanity, promotion of good governance, growth, and development of democracy in Nigeria.
