Buhari okays Gbajabiamila’s trip to Accra over closure of Nigerian businesses
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a trip by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, on what is described as “Legislative Diplomacy” with Ghanaian authorities over the closure of Nigerian businesses in the West African country.
Gbajabiamila was yesterday, at the State House, Abuja, to secure the President’s blessing.
The Speaker, who leaves today for Accra, had last week condemned the action, noting that the decision contravened the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) trade protocols.
He, therefore, sued for swift resolution of the matter.
