Buhari laughs off wife’s comments, says she belongs to ‘my kitchen’

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to comments made by his wife, Aisha, that she may not support him if he seeks reelection in 2019.
“I will not go out and campaign again and ask any woman to vote like I did before. I will never do it again,” Mrs Buhari said in an interview with BBC Hausa’s Naziru Mikailu.
But President Buhari has laughed off his wife’s comment while talking to reporters in Germany where he is meeting with the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.
“I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room,” said President Buhari, Associated Press reported.
Mrs Buhari claimed that her husband is surrounded by people he does not know and suggested that the government might have been hijacked from him, a sentiment shared by the president of the Nigerian senate, Bukola Saraki.
Saraki had on June 27, 2016, claimed that there was a cabal in the Federal Government that had taken over the rein of government from President Buhari.
But the president has discounted Mrs Buhari’s sentiments. “So I claim superior knowledge over her and the rest of the opposition because in the end I have succeeded,” he said.
“It’s not easy to satisfy the whole Nigerian opposition parties or to participate in the government.”

No wonder the whole world is looking at us as “fools”, just look at the face of the leader of 173.6 million (2013) people, very shameful. This man should be retired sitting down looking after his grand children and not leading a grate country like Nigeria.

Towards the end of Reagan’s term, it was an open secret that he was having a hard time remembering things and his wife and chief of staff did a lot of the real business of governance. Nothing as bad as Woodrow Wilson however but something to keep in mind when electing an older person to a stressful position in government.
The queen is the figurehead of the government which is a constitutional monarchy. She has very little real power but a lot of soft power and popular support.

A few words: first lets assume it was not a preprogrammed, diversionary family set up. In that case the first lady demonstrated much thoughtful courage to alert the world about an imminent concatenation of the polity. She should be commended. Next mr presidents reply under such public glare of events was apt. Every president would like to play down such scenario in public even if he holds the revelations to be of utmost gravity. Finally the kitchen issue. We have to realize that civilization and the health of man and his children begin from the kitchen! Every sensible woman even professors or ministers cannot joke or delegate away the expert touch needed in the family kitchen to maidservants alone. Likewise every well brought up lady from professor to minister knows fully welll that mothers milk is most important for physical,mental,moral and spiritual development of the child from the first 18 months of life. However the ill advised lady relying on bad advice,bad companies,and ragamuffin media raves gets disoriented and ruins her home herself like the badly advised feminists. Anything that easily ruins a home and destabilizes the kids is of the devil. The same with anything that cannot make a lady build a nice, decent home. There was a young girl that visited her uncle and when he asked her to cook she burnt the rice,spoilt the stew, burnt the pot and it was all a mess. She was on her cell phone most of the time.And of course knew next to nothing about cooking. She told her uncle she was preparing for jamb to read law. Her uncle promptly registetrd her in a catering school. Few months later before her matriculation results came out she had graduated from catering school and brought home cakes,meatpies,sausage rolls,table clothes,flower pots etc all made by her. Her uncle beamed with smiles and said: now you can go on and become a lawyer,an accountant,a doctor,a teacher,a scientist or whatever you want to be. This is an important real life story lesson. Life is approached with commonsense,foresight,plans,goals and not seen anyhow,anyway the wind blows
