The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on political leaders to demonstrate compassion, transparency, and accountability while implementing policies that will positively impact the lives of the people.
In a New Year message, in Abuja, CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, stressed the need for decisions to prioritise the welfare of the people, ensuring that no Nigerian is left behind in the pursuit of a prosperous nation.
He noted that despite the challenges faced in 2024, including economic difficulties and insecurity, God’s grace has sustained the nation, and His mercy has brought us this far.
Okoh urged Nigerians to turn back to God and serve Him faithfully, adding that peace, unity and progress can be achieved by seeking God’s guidance and walking in His ways.
He said, “With God’s continued grace and our collective commitment to His will, we believe 2025 will be a year of transformation and renewal for our beloved country. Let us move forward in faith, unity, and the hope that all shall be well with us.”
