Political group, called Door 2 Door Grassroots Christian Campaign for Atiku, has called on Nigerians to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar come 2023 general elections.

Political group, called Door 2 Door Grassroots Christian Campaign for Atiku, has called on Nigerians to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar come 2023 general elections.

National Coordinator of the group, Bishop Stanley Joseph, made the call at the weekend in Calabar during the inauguration of Cross River chapter exco of Door 2 Door Christian Campaign for Atiku.

While accusing the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) of taking the country back to it’s misery, Bishop Joseph said God has chosen to use Atiku to take Nigerians to the promise land.

He said the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) would be coming in the spirit of the late President Yar’ Adua, who was also chosen by God but regrettably, the country lost him to death.

He said: “Nigeria has come to another crossroad again, looking for a leader that will take to her to the promised land. We’re going out of Egypt when suddenly APC took us back to Egypt, but God in his infinite mercy has heard the cry of his people and have decided to bring Atiku to take us to the promised land,.

“In leadership, tribe, tongue and religion don’t deliver, it is God who chooses whom he will use after his own heart, if not for the demise of former President Yar’ Adua, Nigeria would have been like Dubai.

“Permit me to say that Atiku is coming in the spirit of Yar ‘Adua and he will take us to the promised land.

Justifying his involvement in politics, he said he had an ecclesiastical and political mandate, stressing that God appoints prophets to point at who will take the place of leadership.

“That is why we are burdened to do a Door 2 Door campaign for Atiku. I am here to kick the ball rolling and kick-start this great organisation in Cross River State and ask all meaningful Cross Riverians to join this train and deliver Atiku come 2023,” he said.

He charged the new state exco to take the campaign to all crannies of the state.

In his remark, the state PDP Chairman, Venatus Ikem, who was represented by the Publicity Secretary, Mike Ojisi, assured the group of the state’s support to deliver the party’s presidential candidate in 2023.
