The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Sen. Ita Enang has advised Nigerians to use the Christmas period to embrace love and face new year with innovative realism.

Enang gave the advice in a Christmas message made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Abuja.

“I heartily rejoice with all Nigerians, particularly our Christian brethren on this joyous occasion of the 2021 Christmas Day celebration commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ,” he said.

He also encouraged spirited individuals to remember those who were without their loved ones, especially those who were victims of insurgency, banditry and politically strife.

“As well as our military men who paid the supreme prize while serving the nation.
“As they continue to be in our heart and prayers, may they experience peace and find hope in the solace of the Lord.”

The presidential aide assured that his office would continue to support local content participation in the oil and gas industry.

He said that this would be done through collaborations with all the stakeholders in the industry to ensure maximum utilisation of indigenous technology to drive a viable self-sustaining artisanal refining industry.

“We will also continue to strengthen our engagements on the Emergency Agricultural Programme in the Diversification of the National Economy.

“And other programmes that will enhance the capacity of youths in the Niger Delta and Nigeria for National Security,” Enang added.
