Church donates cash, relief materials to attack victims in Plateau
Living Faith Church World Wide, yesterday, donated relief materials worth millions of naira to affected communities in Mangu and Riyom councils of Plateau State recently attacked by bandits suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.
President and Founder of the Church, Pastor David Oyedepo, sent the relief materials. Vice President of the Church Network, Pastor Yinka Folorunsho, said Oyedepo would have been in the state himself to commiserate with victims of the dastardly attacks, which left many dead and injured, but for exigency of his assignment.
No fewer than 150 people were killed during coordinated attacks in those communities. Folorunsho noted that they visited some hospitals where the injured were receiving treatment, on Tuesday, and assisted them with their medical bills.
He said they were shocked that live bullets were still in the flesh of some of them. He srressed that life is very important to God, because no person can create life.
The pastor disclosed that foodstuffs, mattress, oil and other food items, including beddings, were donated, which cost tens of millions of naira, stressing that they were there to alleviate their sufferings.
The church congratulated the governor on his successful inauguration, reminding him that he has a great task of maintaining security, praying that God will give him the wisdom to ensure that peace returns to the state.
