CIBN donates lecture theatre to ATBU
Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has donated a 160-capacity lecture theatre to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi State, to train banking and finance undergraduates of the institution.
At the commissioning of the multi-million naira project, President of CIBN, Dr. Bayo Olugbemi, said the gesture was a way of giving back to society and to make the learning process seamless for the students.
Olugbemi said there were similar projects in all the six geo-political zones, adding that ATBU emerged the benefitting institution in the North East based on CIBN criteria.
His words: “The facility is a 160-seater lecture theatre, equipped with modern facilities. This edifice will provide a conducive learning environment for the delivery of high-quality education to future bankers. I call on the students, who are the ultimate beneficiaries, to make good use of the facilities provided and safeguard it for others coming behind.”
