The Presiding Shepherd of the Shalom Baptist Church, Akowonjo, Lagos State, Rev. Theophilus Olaolorun, yesterday, said that 2025 would be a year of restoration for Nigeria.

Olaolorun said this during the yearly King’s Banquet of the church.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the banquet, which is the 10th edition, attended by members of the branches of the church, was a tradition of the church to herald Christmas.

It featured a praise and worship session, feast, orientation for the youth, and stocktaking. Olaolorun said that Nigeria would triumph over its various challenges and be on the path of revival by 2025.

The cleric said that the church had continued to expand in the number of its members, branches and missionary works despite challenges in 2024. According to him, the church has prayed for Nigeria ahead of 2025 for total restoration. He said that the reason for the yearly gathering was to draw youths, teenagers and new members closer to God.
