Ahead of the 2023 poll, scores of clerics, under the aegis of the Council of Imams and Bishops in Nigeria, have endorsed the presidential bid of former Imo State governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha.

The event, held in conjunction with the Leaders Alliance Network (LAN) in Abuja, had in attendance several imams and bishops drawn from across the country.

President of Bishops and Imams, Archbishop Joe Wealth, said the decision to endorse Okorocha was based on his track records as a unifier and person with a compassionate heart for the downtrodden.

The cleric, who described Okorocha as an epitome of equity, peace, justice and fair play, pushed for power to be shifted to the South-East geo-political zone in 2023.
