Coalition roots for Buhari, Alhassan, says defected members responsible for Nigeria’s problems

A Coalition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) support groups in Taraba state has said the recent massive defections of some political kingpins from the party is a blessing to the party and to the re-election of President Buhari.

A Coalition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) support groups in Taraba state has said the recent massive defections of some political kingpins from the party is a blessing to the party and to the re-election of President Buhari.

The coalition who put aside their differences also observed that, “those defecting from APC to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) are those responsible for the problems we are facing in this country today.”

Briefing journalists yesterday in Jalingo, the groups who came together under the auspices of “Maman Taraba Frontier in Collaboration with coalition of APC support groups in Taraba’ said they have unanimously agreed to officially endorse President Buhari for continuity and Senator Aisha Alhassan (Minister for Women Affairs) as governor of Taraba state come 2019.

Led by its chairman, Gideon Kinka, the group noted that both the President and the incumbent Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development have no doubt heralded to the state, meaningful projects.Citing the Moribund Mambilla Hydro Electric Project that had been approved for construction among others the coalition said they would work tirelessly round the clock to ensure the re-election of the President and the emergence of Senator Aisha as the next governor of the state.
