‘Continuous engagement with grassroots on living condition key to poverty eradication’
Aspirant Empowers 300 Badagry Women With Soft Loan
For Nigeria to eradicate poverty, there is a need for continuous engagement with the people at the grassroots on how their living conditions can be improved, aside from creating an enabling environment for people to thrive in all walks of life.
A House of Representatives aspirant for Badagry, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, stated this, yesterday while telling some members of his constituency about his plans to represent them.
Ogunlende disclosed that for the country to compete with others nations in eradicating poverty, Nigerians must be passionate and selfless in changing the narrative.
He stated that for Nigeria to achieve its developmental goals, all hands must be on deck in bringing about giant strides and eschew personal interests that may mar development.
“I have empowered more than three hundred women that are into petty trading with a soft loan of ten thousand naira each across the three local councils of Olohunda, Badagry West, and Badagry Central. That’s how we empowered them.
