Court adjourns Kalu’s trial for adoption of written addresses

Orji Uzor Kalu. PHOTOS:Twitter A justice of the Court of Appeal, Mohammed Idris, sitting at the Federal High Court, Lagos, with the permission of the President of the Court of Appeal, yesterday ordered the former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu and other co-accused persons to file their final written addresses in the N7.2 billion fraud charge slammed against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The judge arrived at the decision after defendants concluded their defence and therefore put to rest their 12-year-old trial.
