Justice Raliat Adebiyi of a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja has fixed March 24, 2023 for adoption of final written addresses on ‘no-case submission application filed by former Director-General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Patrick Akpobolokemi and Ezekiel Bala Agaba over alleged N754.8 million fraud.

At the resumed proceedings yesterday, the prosecution counsel, Mr. Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN), told the court that the prosecution had done its part by responding to the final written addresses filed by the defendants, adding that the response had equally been served on the defence.

He told court that he had served the defence team on February 25, 2023 but they told him that they needed time to respond.

Oyedepo further said that both parties had also met and agreed for an adjournment.

Meanwhile, while responding, the first and second defendants, Mr. W.O. Busari and Mr. Edoka Onyeke, confirmed the position to the court.
