Court remands man for allegedly stealing cosmetics, textiles, caps
A Sharia Court in Kano State on Friday ordered that a 38-year-old man, Aminu Abubakar who allegedly stole cosmetics, caps, textiles and foodstuffs all worth N182,000 should be remanded in a corrections centre.
The police charged Abubakar, who lives at Zango in Gezawa Local government area in Kano with criminal conspiracy and theft.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Judge, Malam Umar Lawal-Abubakar, adjourned the matter until Dec.16 for further mention.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp Abdullahi Wada, told the court that the case was reported on Nov. 18 at the Jarkuka police station by Mustapha Ibrahim (complainant) who also lives at Zango in Gezawa local government area.
Wada said the defendants trespassed into the complainant’s house and stole cosmetics, caps, textiles and foodstuffs.(NAN)
