The Federal High Court, Lagos has restrained Mr. Jama Onwubuariri from parading himself as Managing Director of Trucks Transit Parks (TTP).

The order subsists pending the hearing and determination of the firm’s Motion on Notice in the suit marked, FHC/L/CS/1501/2022.

Justice Akintayo Aluko made the interim injunction on August 11, following TTP’s application as plaintiff/applicant through its counsel, Chinedu Anaje, with Kolawole Salami holding the brief of Ghoyega Oyewole (SAN).

The judge held: “An order of interim injunction is hereby made restraining the defendant, his agents, privies and/or any other person acting on his instruction from parading himself or further parading himself as Managing Director of the plaintiff.”

The court also restrained him from dealing with the apparatus of the company, use and/or further use of the assets of the company or interfering with the day-to-day business activities of the plaintiff having been removed as Managing Director of the plaintiff.

The court held that he was removed through the resolutions passed at the firm’s Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.

The decision, it said, subsists until the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice.

Hearing in the matter has been adjourned to August 18, 2022.

Following the order, the Trucks Transit Parks board announced in a statement, yesterday, that it had appointed Temidayo Adeboye as acting Managing Director.

It said: “Mr. Adeboye has been appointed as our Managing Director in an acting capacity. The change of leadership at our company is part of our strategic repositioning for the next phase in our company’s innovative journey.

“Adeboye, one of our founders, previously worked as Chief Operating Officer in charge of the operations of our company. Adeboye is a highly respected professional and he brings on board over 20 years of extensive experience in the energy, maritime and logistics sectors.

“We thank all our stakeholders and the public for the overwhelming support enjoyed by our new management team, as our company is positioned to achieve greater feats.”
