Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) in Cross River State has said it is set to mobilise a minimum of one million votes among member churches of the PFN in support of any governorship candidate the fellowship will endorse in the 2023 general elections.

The State Chairman of PFN, Dr. Lawrence Ekwok, in a statement after the 2022 PFN Pentecost Service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG), House of David, Calabar, said already, he had secured the commitment and backing of key leaders of Pentecostal churches in the state to ensure the goal is achieved.

He informed the gathering, which had key leaders of churches in the state in attendance, that it was a task that could be accomplished, considering the fact that the winner of the 2019 governorship election in the state had fewer than four hundred votes, a figure that one of the mega-churches could easily produce.

He charged members of Pentecostal churches in the state to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise and ensure they register to vote in forthcoming elections.

The service featured a guest speaker from Lagos, Bishop Curtis Fianu, who gave a message titled “Power above Powers “ in which he charged believers in Christ to take advantage of the power of Pentecost to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and do legitimate signs and wonders.
