Urges members to be faithful, uphold legacy of prophecy
The New Seraph of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church Worldwide has unveiled the centenary logo as part of activities to mark the church’s 100th anniversary, calling on members to embrace prophecy and intercession as tools to sustain humanity.
The unveiling ceremony, held at the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Faith Mission Headquarters in Satellite Town, Lagos, also featured the inauguration of a steering committee and the distribution of flyers for the church’s forthcoming yearly revival, tagged “Night of Divine Experience: The Seventh Impression.”
According to the church, prophecy and intercession remain defining emblems of the C&S that have distinguished it over the past century and ensured its continued relevance.
Founder of the New Seraph Evangelical Ministry, Iya Aladura General (Dr) Yomi Sholoye, who spoke at the event, described the centenary milestone as a profound moment for reflection and recommitment.
She urged church members and Nigerians to embrace the Church’s core pillars of prophecy and intercession, the spiritual tools, she said, had sustained the ministry’s relevance for a century.
Earlier in her address, Sholoye reflected on the church’s legacy, reminding the congregation of the enduring values laid down by the founder and the responsibility of the present generation to build on them.
Also, the Guest Speaker, Bishop Sunday Okeyomi of Ikare, Ondo State, described the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church as a spiritual compass for humanity, noting that its long-standing tradition of prophecy has helped to avert disasters and shape the society for the better.
