C&S group charges women on depression, marks 35th anniversary


It was a medley of praise, dance and drama at the weekend when the Truth Divine Band of the Youth Fellowship Chapel of Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church, Surulere District, Lagos held its 35th Year Anniversary, culminating in gala, seminar and awards presentation.

Captain of the Truth Divine Band, Prophetess Seyi Omange, said the Band was an offshoot of the desire to provide an “appropriate nurturing for young women in the vineyard of God”

“The critical value addition was to make our young girls become truthful, ideal wives and good leaders in line with the teachings of the Holy Bible. In this context, the Band is grateful to God that the primary objectives in setting up the Band are being achieved individually and collectively.”

The highlights of the event, which had its theme on “Joy of Salvation”, included a variety of talks on some health issues bothering on depression and suicidal tendencies, breast and cervical cancer and awards presentation to personalities including the Youth Fellowship Group (YFG) Shepherd, Pro. Seyi Coker; the DCM Shepherd, Pro. Bolaji Odutayo; Band Coordinator-General, Sp.MII M.A. Fakeye; Sp.MII Kukoyi; Sp. MII Iretioluwa Jagun; and Funmi Popo-Olaniyan for their support to the Band. Others included Band Patron, Sp.Ap. Ajose; Band Matron, MSMII. Taiwo Ogunsola; Sp.MII, Christiana Obagunwa, MSMII Oligbinde; MSMII Iyabo Agboola; as well as the Facilitators, Dr. Olufela Oridota, Dr. Ann Roberts from Clinical Pathology Department, LUTH; Rtn Dr. Bola Ajayi and Rtn Bukola Bakare
