The killing of one Lucky, by suspected cult members, yesterday led to disruption of economic activities in Owerri municipality of Imo State, as residents and traders of Umuenyeche community took to the streets.

The traders gathered at a strategic location within the state capital to strategise on curbing future incidents. They also resolved for a showdown with any cult members spotted while the march lasted.

Consequently, the aggrieved indigenes issued a ban on any boy below the age of 18 from the drinking spots in the locality, just as they ordered every business premise to close shop daily by 9:00 p.m. A trader, Ambrose Amadi, called on government to strenghten security in the area.
