Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung, has described the Nzem Berom 2018 festival as a celebration of the present and the past cultures of the African people.
According to Dalung, yesterday’s event marked the beginning of a new planting season for the people.
He disclosed that the Tarok and the Berom share a common culture in which they celebrate the coming of the rainy season and seek divine intervention before commencing farming.
On the 2019 elections, Dalung urged the people of the state to pray for both President Muhammadu Buhari and the state governor, Simon Lalong, not to fall prey to deceitful politicians.
