Delta health commissioner to inaugurate health facility
Delta State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nicholas Azinge, will on Tuesday, February 14 2017 commission a maternal health centre, at Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government. The centre was renovated and equipped with modern facilities by the Dynamic Woman Charity Association, a not for profit organisation.
A statement by the founder of the organisation, Mrs. Favour Okolobi and Director of Media, Miss Ogechi Chidi, said some of the expected guests are the traditional ruler of Ogwashi-Uku, Obi Professor Chukwuma Okonjo, members of the Ogwashi-Uku Obi-in-council, and political office holders, that included the member representing Aniocha South in the state assembly, Angela Nwaka; the Chairman, Aniocha South Local Government Area, High Chief Isaac Anwuzia and Chief Lawrence Okolobi and Mrs. Beatrice Bianchi.
The health facility was built by government through the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) but renovated and equipped by the Dynamic Women Charity Association in furtherance of its partnership with government in providing efficient and affordable healthcare for mothers and children in the state.
