
The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), DIG Sadiq I. Abubakar, has reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s (NPF) commitment to discipline and professionalism during a recent visit to the National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) in Abuja.
Upon arrival at the NPF-NCCC office complex, DIG Abubakar was warmly received by the Director of the Centre, CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry, alongside his management team.
Addressing officers and personnel, he stressed the vital role of discipline and ethical conduct in law enforcement, describing them as the foundation of the police force.
He urged officers to uphold these principles while carrying out their duties to ensure efficiency and credibility.
As the investigative powerhouse of the NPF, the FCID is responsible for handling complex criminal cases both within and beyond Nigeria’s borders.
DIG Abubakar’s visit highlights the force’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its specialized units, ensuring they are well-equipped to tackle emerging cyber threats and other sophisticated crimes.
