All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in Rivers State has said divisions in the state chapter of the party will not affect the rally of its presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu,  billed for Wednesday.

Chairman of the PCC Local Organising Committee (LOC), Tony Okocha, stated this, yesterday, shortly after inspecting the venue for the rally, Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt City Council.

Okocha said party members are united in their drive to ensure a successful and hitch-free rally.

He said: “Even though nothing has been advanced to us, we have taken the bull by the horns, and as a people, we have felt that no attempt to sabotage what the APC is doing in Rivers State.

“We have put resources together and we have also mobilised a minimum of 50,000 persons from the 23 councils of the state to attend the rally at this particular venue.

Recall that Governor Nyesom Wike approved the venue last week, waving the N5 million fees for the facility.

Okocha said: “We have come here to inspect the facilities at this venue, which has been approved by the Rivers State Government.

“One of the reasons why we came is to also assure our presidential candidate that Rivers State is upbeat and that we are ready for him on February 15.

The LOC chairman further said with the mobilisation and enlightenment programme carried out and the feedback received so far across the state, Tinubu was sure of winning Rivers State.
