Professor Anthony Ani, yesterday, emerged the All Progressives Congress (APC)Senatorial candidate for Ebonyi South with 281 votes.

Speaking after his declaration as the winner of APC Ebonyi South Senatorial primary, Ani thanked the delegates for voting him, assuring the people of Ebonyi South that he will not disappoint the zone if he eventually makes it to the senate.

Ani, a Professor of Agricultural Extension, noted that the Senate needs people who will stand for truth, lobby to get something for their people, because Nigeria is a country where people fight and struggle to get things done.

Ani further stated that if elected he would attract government’s presence to the zone, noting that those that have represented the zone before had not really done enough to justify the confidence the people gave them.

Distributing the electoral materials the leader of the team and Chairman of the Panel, Chief Akin Akinsehinewa, said that they were in the state to conduct the Ebonyi South Senatorial primary, adding that his team is happy with the peaceful manners the delegates conducted themselves.
