The Commissioner of Police in Edo, Mr. Nemi Iwo, has called on Muslims to continue upholding the values of peace, love, and harmony embodied by Prophet Muhammad (SWT).

In his message to mark the celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, popularly known as Maulud Nabiyy, Iwo stressed the importance of tolerance, understanding, and mutual respect among all citizens, regardless of their religious affiliations.

 

In a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Moses Yamu, on Monday in Benin, the commissioner assured that adequate security measures had been put in place to ensure a hitch-free celebration.

 

He encouraged Muslims to reflect on Prophet Muhammad’s teachings and promote unity, peace, and development in Edo.
