Eid-ul Mawlid: FG declares Monday public holiday
The Federal Government has declared Monday, 16 September 2024 as a Public Holiday to celebrate the Eid-ul-Mawlid, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji

made the declaration on behalf of the government congratulating the Muslim Ummah both at home and in the Diaspora
In a statement by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the minister urged all Muslims to imbibe the spirit of patience, sacrifice, and resilience.
Tunji-Ojo implored them to use the opportunity of the period to pray for enduring peace in Nigeria and a more prosperous egalitarian nation.
