Funminiyi Afuye, former leader of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Thursday was elected as the Speaker of Ekiti House of Assembly.

Afuye, representing Ikere Constituency 1, would be deputized by Hakeem Jamiu, who represents Irepodun/Ifelodun Constituency 2.

The election was conducted by the clerk of the house, Tola Esan.
