The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti South Senatorial District, yesterday, kicked off aggressive mobilisation and campaign for the success of the party’s candidates in the 2023 general elections.
The leaders of the party from the zone reiterated their commitment to the victory of the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar; the senatorial candidate, Biodun Olujimi; House of Representatives candidates, Henrich Akomolafe and Adenike Eniola as well as the state Assembly candidates from the zone.
They spoke at the inauguration of Ekiti South Senatorial District PDP campaign council in Emure, the headquarters of Emure Local Council of Ekiti State.
The Campaign Council’s Director-General and former Deputy Governor, Prof. Kolapo Eleka, said the PDP remains the choice of the people and is capable of rescuing the country from doldrums.
The former deputy governor expressed confidence in the ability of Atiku to administer Nigeria well and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people irrespective of their social status, ethnic and religious affinity.
Eleka extolled the administrative acumen, leadership qualities and vast experience in governance of Atiku, adding that the leadership of the party would bring the desired socio-economic growth and development to the country.
He noted that the people of Ekiti South would reciprocate Olujimi’s outstanding goodwill to them by voting massively for PDP, adding that she deserves re-election in view of her stellar performance.
Eleka, who urged members of the council, as well as party faithful, not to rest until the last person is mobilised for Atiku and all other candidates’ victory across the six local councils in the district, said it was time members of the PDP sacrificed to save Nigeria from ‘vestiges of exploiters.’
