The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Chief Gboyega Oguntuase, has said nobody can fault former governor, Ayodele Fayose, on infrastructure during his two terms.

According to Oguntuase, the PDP can also not be faulted on projects execution as most of the infrastructure in the state were put in place during the PDP administration. Specifically, he said most of the facilities dotting the Ekiti landscape were done either in the first or second term of Fayose.

Oguntuase spoke in Ado Ekiti on Thursday while fielding questions from reporters on the statement recently made by Governor Kayode Fayemi that Fayose neglected and abandoned critical infrastructure in the state for four years.

Fayemi had last week, during his tours of projects across the state, lamented the alleged sorry state of the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resorts, Ire Burnt Bricks, Fountain Hotel, Civic Centre and Ekiti Kete Pavillion, among others.

The governor had wondered why ‘legacy’ projects constructed with Ekiti money could be allegedly left to rotten away by Fayose administration.
