Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai, has said that the end of insecurity in the country, particularly in the North East, is near, as the country gets more military personnel.

Speaking yesterday in Bauchi State at the graduation of another set of personnel in the School of Armoured Corps, the COAS said: “When you’re deployed to the field, you must be decisive. We must deal with them.

“When you combine fire power, mobility and shock action, the adversary has no option than to be hurt and be dealt with, urgently. We must give them shock and hurt.”

Buratai commended Operation Lafiya Dole for its “tremendous efforts to combat terrorism in the North East.”
