Enugu state Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in the pursuit of peace, unity and brotherhood among all citizens of the country.

Enugu state Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in the pursuit of peace, unity and brotherhood among all citizens of the country.

Ugwuanyi who made the appeal in his message to the state and Nigerians on the nation’s 59th independence anniversary restated his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises to ensure security of lives and property, enhance good governance and sustain economic growth in Enugu State.

He congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari and Nigerians on the anniversary, and applauded the nation’s founding fathers “whose sacrifices and contributions paved way for the country’s independence.”

He also commended the founding fathers, fallen heroes, Armed Forces and other security agencies for their fighting spirit and sacrifices in preserving the country.
