Enugu women reiterate support for Ugwuanyi’s re-election
Enugu State women have reiterated their support for the re-election of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, pledging to work harder to ensure landslide victory at the poll.
Rising from a town hall meeting by the state chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women wing, graced by Ugwuanyi, the women commended the governor for his commitment to their wellbeing and the giant strides his administration has recorded so far.
They described Ugwuanyi as the most women-friendly governor in the history of Enugu State, promising to continue to canvass vigorously for him and the party in their various units.
Speaking earlier, the PDP Board of Trustees member and former Nigerian Ambassador to Guinea Bissau, Amb. Mrs. Justina Eze, implored the women to not just remain committed to Ugwuanyi’s re-election, but also play leading role, as the most influential factor in the family.
Responding, Ugwuanyi, who emphasised the importance of women in politics and governance, appreciated their tremendous support for his administration and his re-election bid.
