Real Estate Developers in Eti-Osa, Lagos State, yesterday, declared their support for the re-election bid of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu citing his role in creating an environment that is conducive to economic development.

Speaking in Lagos, a member of the group, Kelvin Asogwa, noted that over the last four years, Sanwo-Olu worked tirelessly to create an environment that is friendly to businesses, including the real estate industry.

Asoguwa described Sanwo-Olu as a man who understands the peculiarities of the real estate sector and through his visionary leadership, the state has experienced economic growth, with new businesses moving in and existing businesses expanding their operations.

He said: “Governor Sanwo-Olu understands the importance of collaboration and has worked hard to create policies and initiatives that are designed to stimulate economic growth, especially in the real estate sector by cooperating with developers across the state.

“He has streamlined the regulatory process, making it easier for developers to get their projects off the ground. He has also worked to create incentives for developers who are building affordable housing, helping to address one of the most pressing issues facing our state.”

On his part, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, noted that the governor has been a champion of smart growth, recognising that development must be sustainable and must take into account the needs of Lagos State.

“He has worked to promote smart growth policies that balanced the need for economic development with the need to protect our environment and ensure our quality of life.”

MD/CEO, Diaspora Estate and Investment limited, Mr Osasu Eghaghe, stated that Sanwo-Olu’s policies have not only benefited the industry, but they have also helped to create jobs, stimulate economic growth and improve the quality of life for the residents in the state.

“His leadership has been instrumental in our state’s success and we believe that he is the best person to continue leading us forward. On her part, a female developer, Millicent Duru, said Governor Sanwo-Olu has been pragmatic in a state that is the biggest economic in the country.

She said it’s important to entrust the state in the hands of someone that is experienced, noting that among all the governorship candidates in Lagos, Sanwo-Olu stands out as the most qualified, dogged and active.
