Experts make case for sustainable environment for business

The development of sustainable environment has become a global challenge for businesses and must be addressed, experts have said.

Speaking at a breakfast session on sustainability reporting, themed ‘Distilling leading practices in sustainability reporting, they stressed the need for government to accelerate efforts towards creating an enabling environment for businesses in the country.

Head, Shared Services Division, Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Bola Adeeko, in his keynote address stated that mainstream sustainability reporting would require the effective engagement of key players, locally and internationally.

Earlier, the Chief Operating Officer, Deloitte West Africa, Anthony Olukoju, had noted that sustainability should be the paramount concern of stakeholders.
