Fani-Kayode receives letters of credence to S’Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini

Former Minister of Aviation and Ambassador-Designate, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has officially received his Letters of Credence to assume duties as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the Republic of South Africa, the Kingdom of Lesotho, and the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Fani-Kayode, who made this known in a statement yesterday, expressed gratitude for the milestone, noting that he received the documents after obtaining the necessary agreement.

The Letters of Credence were presented to him on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye.

Fani-Kayode described the appointment as a divine opportunity to serve his country once more.

In a post via his verified X handle yesterday, Fani-Kayode expressed gratitude for the milestone, noting that he received the documents yesterday after obtaining the necessary agreement.

Fani-Kayode, who previously served as the Minister of Aviation exactly 20 years ago, described the appointment as a divine opportunity to serve the country once more.

He said: “I thank God for the opportunity to serve my nation once again after being appointed as Minister of Aviation 20 years ago.”
