Fayemi to speak on unity at Arewa House 50th anniversary
Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, will deliver a lecture on Nigeria’s unity at the 50th anniversary of Arewa House in Kaduna slated for Friday, October 30, 2020 in Kaduna.
The event would be held in the memory of Sarduna of Sokoto, the late Sir Ahmadu Bello, who during his lifetime upheld Nigeria’s unity and development as sacrosanct.
Director of Arewa House, Mallam Shuaib Aliyu, during a media briefing in Kaduna at the weekend, said Governor Fayemi would speak on “Unfinished Greatness, Towards More Perfect Union In Nigeria.”
Aliyu said the event would be graced by former heads of state, prominent traditional rulers and other notable Nigerians, describing Arewa House as “the centre of harmony that uphold national unity.”
“It serves as a political bridge between the north and the south. Therefore, we never concentrate our activities on only the northern region. We are inviting people from other parts of the country.
“We are also inviting former heads of state, prominent traditional rulers, serving and retired ministers from across the country to discuss and celebrate the achievements of Arewa House in the last 50 years,” he said.
