Fayose’s allegation against FUOYE’s VC is political, says Group
The League of Civil Society Groups has described the claim by Governor Ayodele Fayose that the Vice Chancellor, Federal University, Oye, Ekiti, Prof. Kayode Soremekun would be a tool to rig the forthcoming Ekiti gubernatorial election as politics with bitterness.
In a statement, the group said: “Fayose needs not be reminded that, considering the office he holds as governor, he cannot afford to make careless statements that can destabilise Ekiti, as his statement deteriorated into a protest by the students.”
The group, therefore, urged the good people of the state to remain calm and not allow themselves to be used as tools of destruction.
“Ekiti people should go to the polls en mass to exercise their civic duties on election date, and be rest assured that their choice will count in terms of who governs them,” it said.
