Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have arrested the three suspects in connection with the murder of a popular Abuja chef, Mr. Vincent Eluagu Chukwuemeka popularly known as Chef Emeka.

A spokesperson for the command, Josephine Adeh, who confirmed the development yesterday, told newsmen that detectives from FCT Command had commenced a manhunt for killers of the popular Nigerian chef.

She said: “The investigations by the police team led to the arrest of the male suspects, Kingsley Obinna, 24, Musa Tanimu, 25 and Mohammed Sha’aba 26, for their complicity in the crime. Investigations by the homicide section of the Command’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID), clearly revealed how the suspects gruesomely murdered the victim in cold blood.

“The CP, while condoling with the family and friends of the deceased, assured that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of the investigations.

“The CP implores residents to report all suspicious movements, emergencies or distresses, through these numbers: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883.”

While the cause of his death remains uncertain, an account by his friends claims that he was stabbed to death by assailants who gained access into his home.

Another account claims the deceased was killed by two persons, who he granted access to his apartment. They allegedly stripped him naked, tied him up, and then strangled him.

Eloagu is the creative director of Helenes Food Company, an Abuja-based brand.

It was gathered that his lifeless body was found in his apartment on Sunday, August 1.
