The Federal Government has approved N2 billion for the take-off of the new Nigerian Army University in Biu, Borno State.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, made the disclosure when he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Baffa Bichi, yesterday in Abuja.

He said the university was approved April 11 this year during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

The military chief said the approval was consequent upon a memo presented by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu.
