
As the Federal Housing Authority celebrates, it is seeking over N500 billion to enable it to construct and deliver decent and affordable houses for citizens.
Ashafa also explained that housing is the most important need of man, urging the Federal Government to make a concerted effort to budget more to provide houses for low-income and middle-class in the country.
He stated, ‘when the funds are made available we will boost the built environment as well as reduce the country’s housing deficit, which is key to achieve Sustainable Development Goal Agenda.’
“We are constructing Golden Jubilee Estate in Abuja, and we intend to replicate the programmes in all geopolitical zones.We are also working with FCT Minister to deliver houses for citizens.”
The Managing Director, therefore, stated that operating on a partial commercial model is not helping them, but with the Renewed Hope Agenda on housing, we would achieve our target.
