Firm holds thanksgiving service to commission syringe factory
The syringe factory was commissioned by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo, on September 23, 2017. The thanksgiving service signals the readiness of the factory to commence full operation and distribution of syringes across the country.
In his message, the presiding pastor of United Evangelical Church, Onna, Rev Umoh Umoh, admonished Christian faithful to always give God a sacrificial worship to attract his presence, saying “God needs quality worship from His children.”
Speaking at the event, the governor, who was represented by the Special Assistant on Religious Matters, Rev. Daniel Akwatang, said history has been made not just in Nigeria but the entire African continent. “We can proudly say that Nigeria now has the largest syringe factory in Africa with production capacity of 350 million syringes annually. We are proud of this,” he said.
The paramount ruler of Onna, Edidem Raymond Inyang, pleaded that politicians seeking slots in the company should stay off and allow the management to pick qualified youth for the job.
Managing Director of JSM, Zubeyir Gulabi, thanked God for the successful completion of the factory that took a record 11 months from start to finish without loss of life to any worker, management or vendor. He assured that JSM will not compromise on standard.
