A Firm, Lexshield Property Ltd., has intensified efforts to curb fraudulent practices in the real estate sector. It also commended the Lagos State government and other stakeholders for regulating the sector.

Managing Director, Lexshield Properties Limited, Adedayo Ajayi, said that investors were no longer vulnerable, as they now engage due diligence before buying any property.

He disclosed this at the official signing of Brand Ambassador and Realtors Incentive Awards in Lagos. Nollywood actress, Wumi Toriola, was unveiled as the Brand Ambassador.

He revealed that verify the lands and firm before taking any investment decision. He added that the accreditation process from governing bodies had been helpful in reducing fraudulent activities.

Ajayi said:”Accreditation processes are now stricter. Lagos State has associations that help regulate the sector and masses are equipped with better information. People also involve their lawyers in the business transaction.”

He condemned people who defraud others via social media. He said the event was an avenue to appreciate staff and clients who believed in the firm’s vision.
