Concerned about equipping women and youths with practical knowledge that could translate their skills into sustainable sources of income, entrepreneurship and self-reliance in the community.Leading Light Global Business Growth Training has expanded its humanitarian outreach with a three-day free vocational training programme held in Badore, Ajah, Lagos.

The training, organised under the theme “Business Growth Training Masterclass,” brought together more than 60 participants from Badore and neighbouring communities.Speaking at the programme, the co- convener, Pastor Collins Ibadin, urged participants to upgrade their existing skills and acquire new ones to remain relevant in today’s increasingly digital economy.

Ibadin introduced participants to digital marketing and demonstrated how social media could be used to promote and sell crafts, products and services, while encouraging them to explore e-commerce and other digital platforms to expand their businesses.He explained that the skill-acquisition initiative was designed to reposition the mindset of participants, encourage entrepreneurship and equip them to contribute meaningfully to the wellbeing of society.

He also urged participants to remain hopeful and look to God for sustenance, particularly amid economic challenges, inflation and unemployment affecting many families across the country.
Convener Pastor Charis Collins Ibadin,(Queen Priest) encourages participants to acquire valuable skills that could complement their existing businesses and help strengthen their families.
She taught participants customer service and effective communication, highlighting different forms of communication, ways to identify and retain the right customers, the importance of customer feedback and strategies for managing challenges in business.

Charis also encouraged women to support their husbands and families physically, spiritually and emotionally. She disclosed that the organisation’s masterclasses would continue beyond the three-day programme, making the initiative a continuous learning and mentorship opportunity rather than a one-off event.The event empowers women and youths with practical skills for self-reliance and wealth creation.

The Chief Executive Officer of Oga Tech Hub Harmony Ajah -Mr George introduced participants to artificial intelligence, prompt writing and practical ways of applying AI to business. The training covered the use of AI for marketing, media, sales, school-related businesses, childcare support and other entrepreneurial activities.

A caterer and resource person, Aunty Rukky Cakes, also trained participants in cake making, including plain and decorative cream cakes, as well as the production of meat pies and chin chin.
She further introduced participants to soap making, toilet cleaner and liquid soap production, explaining that entrepreneurs could start on a small scale and gradually expand their businesses through focus, commitment and consistency.

The programme also featured sessions on turning skills into income, business content creation, business planning and registration, identifying business opportunities, learning and business mentorship, and strategies for multiplying existing crafts and skills. Other areas covered included fashion,Gele making, hat making and facilitator, makeup and makeover skills, artificial intelligence, digital marketing, catering, business development and business management.

The participants were also encouraged to continue learning, embrace digital tools and develop their skills to meet changing market demands.
