The Forum of Special Assistants in Cross River State has formally endorsed Governor Bassey Otu for a second term in office, citing his administration’s achievements over the past two years.
The endorsement was made on Monday in Calabar, during a Stewardship Dinner held in honour of the governor.
The event, themed “People First in Action: The Journey Thus Far,” provided an opportunity for members of the Forum to review the administration’s performance and reaffirm their support for its policies and direction.
Chairman of the Forum, Andrea Ekeng Inyang, in his keynote remarks, acknowledged what he described as notable strides by the Otu-led administration in sectors such as security, infrastructure, tourism, education, and agriculture.
He noted that the Forum remains committed to the administration’s “People First” agenda and expressed optimism about the future of the state under its continued leadership.
Inyang also commended the First Lady of the State, Bishop Eyoanwan Otu, who received special recognition at the event for her contributions to women’s empowerment and social development.
The governor, represented by the Commissioner for Education, Senator Stephen Odey, expressed appreciation for the Forum’s endorsement and pledged to build on the current momentum.
He called for continued collaboration and support from the group, assuring them of his commitment to delivering more results for the people of Cross River State.
