Foundation bags award for women empowerment
The Onyemaechi Memorial Foundation has bagged a national award for its consistent economic empowerment of women and youths and provision of aids for less privileged across Nigeria.
The Foundation was conferred the outstanding foundation of the year award by the Nigerian Women Achievers Award 2023.
At the event which was held over the weekend at the Oriental Hotel hall, Lagos State, the organisation stated that the Onyemaechi Memorial Foundation is a recipient of the award as an acknowledgement and recognition of its swift effort in providing succour to women, children and youths as well as its support for programmes and engagements aimed at educating and empowering women in the country.
Ambassador Aniakor Chiamaka miracle, the founder of the foundation while receiving the award noted that the award is “a call to do more”.
“Onyemaechi Memorial Foundation, follows the unique foot steps of Onyeamachi Charity Aniakor, who lived between 16th August 1973 – May 2006. She was passionate about touching lives; investing in the lives of children, girls and women”.
“We are glad to receive this award from a noble organisation like this, thus we are charged even more to continue the process of leveraging every chance to improve livelihoods and foster an economic growth within the country.”
