Foundation empowers 100 youths, harps on hard work

Youths in Paiko, Niger State have been thrown a lifeline, as a non-governmental organisation, True Foundation trained them in various skill set and empowered them to start-up businesses.

During the graduation ceremony of the one-week vocational training, the participants could not contain their joy as they expressed gratitude to the foundation for the initiative.

According to the organisation, the empowerment was an avenue for the youth to have means of livelihood, take care of themselves, family members and develop the community.

At the event, the representative of Paiko council chairman, Alh. Ayuba Ishaga thanked the foundation for the gesture while calling on well-meaning Nigerians especially those in political offices to also get involved in carrying out initiatives that will better the lives of the masses.

The General Overseer, Best Legacy International Academy, Alh. Baba Garba Paiko, also commended the foundation for the programme, saying the programme came at the right time.

According to him, most of his students do not have money to further their education after leaving secondary school, but with the skill acquisition, they now have means of livelihood.

Founder, True Foundation, Madam Brenda Ataga said her own philosophy is helping others becomes better in life.

Brenda advised the beneficiaries to show love and consideration for those around them, saying that it is the only way to make God happy and be blessed in all their endeavours.

She also urged the beneficiaries to teach others what they have learnt and ensured they use the start-up kits given to them to start their businesses.

A total of 100 youth benefitted from the True foundation Vocational training with which include skill acquisition in barbing, production, baking and bead making.

True foundation was established in 2013 and have empowered over 2, 000 youth in various communities in the country.
