Focus on Growth and Development Foundation (FOGDEV), a non-profit organisation has trained over 1,000 women and youths on digitalisation to embrace growth and soft skills.
At the conclusion of its inaugural ‘Elevating Creativity 1.0’ training programme, the foundation reiterated its commitment to promoting a zero-economy by empowering individuals, especially women, with crucial technology skills.
The foundation said that the week-long training programme offered a comprehensive curriculum covering graphic design, web design, and essential soft skills, such as interview techniques and LinkedIn profile optimisation.
A board member of FOGDEV, Ayeni Ekundayo, said that he has invested in empowering youth and women through technology and digital skills programmes.
He added that FOGDEV have collaborated with over 100 clients, including Daystar Leadership Academy, budgIT, German Cooperation, FATE Foundation, LSETF (Lagos State Employment Trust Fund), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Isafe and Access. We have successfully completed 30 projects, training over 2,000 participants.
He announced that Stay-At-Home Moms 2.0 and content creation training would be held in August 2024, following the success of the Remote Work Programme 2.0.
“Participants were immersed in intensive workshops, gaining hands-on experience and personalised coaching from industry experts. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive learning and development platform accessible to all, regardless of their background. Central to our work is a commitment to inclusivity. We partner with various organisations to provide clear, safe and responsible migration information, underscoring our dedication to diversity and inclusion.
