Foundation to build skills acquisition centre for women

To equip women with skills to enable them eke a living and put food on their tables, Onyekachi Ubani Foundation (OUF) is planning to build a Capital Development Centre For Human Development, which would house all its vocational and skills acquisition training facilities and serve as a melting pot for the actualization of OUF’s mandate.

The founder, Monday Ubani, who disclosed this at an event to herald in the formal launch and his 52nd birthday celebrations tomorrow, said over 120 million Nigerians are currently living below the poverty line and the number is growing daily.

The former chairman of Ikeja branch of the Nigerian Bar Association stressed that other programmes to be undertaken for by the foundation include youth literacy initiative and to raise a new generation of young people who can dare to dream and believe in the unseen possibilities that await them in life.

The Lagos State governor, Akinwumi Ambode, Augustine Alegeh (SAN), Femi Falana (SAN), Femi Adesina, and Rev. Chidi Okoroafor will attend while the keynote address will be delivered by Pastor Tunde Bakare of Latter Rain Assembly.
